BIG news

So Byu-Idaho has two dance companys... Dance alliance is the traveling one and probably more known, and then theres the collegiate dance company i guess you call it that is made up of 3 teams... the ballroom, the world dancers, and the contemporary dancers. And the collegiate dancers have try outs ever semester...and so i thought it would just be a good experience to try out... i had no thought of actually making it, i just wanted to see how tryouts worked here and stuff like that... So i went to try outs this last friday night (yesterday) and there were only 20 people there...lol its summer so ya...and they took 10 of us...and i just happened to be one of the lucky 10!!! I mean i know its not the big company but its still a company and we do work shops during the year so im gonna be able to keep my teaching skills up to par and we have a big performance at the end of june where were doing some really cool dances!! (for tryouts we learned some of the dances) so im way excited!!! a little overwhelmed because i dont know how im gonna make that work with all my school stuff...but ill find a way... anyway thats my big news for the weekend!!
I also went to the welcome back dance here at school... lol at first is started out like a stake dance and i was so ready to leave...but in the end it was fun... so ya...anyway i got loads of homework to do before sunday...

Cell Phones

I dont think ive ever been more thankful for my cell phone as i have this past week!! Being away from home hasnt been easy and school and the social isnt going as easily as i thought either and knowing my parents or any other family member is only a phone call away has been sooooo nice!! ive talked to my parents ATLEAST everyday! chayse and charlotte have called several times, which has been super nice since ive needed to unload some stuff lol and then perry and julianna and mckell...its just nice to know that you can be miles apart and yet in several seconds you can be talking like their standing right next to you! i LOVE my cell phone!

First Night

im officially alone in Rexburg idaho...i had a couple sad surprises last night one being that i cant log into facebook while im on campus...so goodbye facebook till im back home in august...but i guess it might be a good thing in some way.
It was hard saying goodbye to my parents last night.. way sad but ive always been very independent so im way excited to be on my own and experience life by myself.
i just got back from my ward... i really like the Bishopric...they seem like really nice spiritual giants and for the most part all the girls in my ward are super friendly...some a little to much... lol but i think im gonna enjoy this ward... and about the boys...most look older like post mission but we have a few freshman and some decent lookin guys...im not gonna say anyone really caught my eye but i think theyll be fun to hang out with!
Im officailly all unpacked but it just doesnt feel like home...but ill get use to it! i showered last night... i was really worried id have a horrible one, i hate horrible showers lol but it was actually very nice... but then when i walked out and my roommate was making-out with her boyfriend that was a little awkward LOL
anyway im super content right now eating my spaghetti-o's and having some milk...im heading over to kendras tonight for dinner then me and my roommates ( i only have 2 by the way...one beds empty) are heading to the satdium where they all sing hymns every sunday night...sounds kinda cool! so ya! lol

Packing

I officially have 4 days till i leave and i found out a few days ago i only have 4 feet of closet space and compared to my closet now...lets just say im in BIG trouble!! lol so i have turned the basement into a thousand different piles of stuff trying to find out what to bring... im the worst packer ever and i always feel like i have to bring millions of stuff, so if you have any advice i would greatly appreciate it!!

I cant believe im packing for college!!! The sad part is though once i move out its like i officailly dont live at my parents any more....even when i come home for break its just for a visit...so sad!! :(
